SNP MP Margaret Ferrier arrested over breach of Coronavirus rules

SNP MP Margaret Ferrier has been arrested by police and charged with culpable and reckless conduct, Police Scotland have confirmed.

The MP travelled between Scotland and the House of Commons after taking a Coronavirus test on 28 September 2020, later finding out that she had tested positive for the virus.

Ms Ferrier had the whip removed by the SNP following the incident. It is understood that the arrest took place on Monday, but Ms Ferrier will not be held in custody.
