Vladimir Putin has been sworn in for his fourth term as Russian President at a ceremony in Moscow.
Mr Putin has been in power since 1999, spending terms as both prime minister and president, and is Russia’s longest-serving leader since the Soviet dictator, Joseph Stalin.
Despite winning a landslide victory, his inauguration follows nationwide protests which resulted in the arrests of at least 1,200 demonstrators.
Mr Putin has promised ‘a new quality of life, well-being, security and people’s health.’
