The UK government has stated that a series of notices will be released in pursuance of preparing the UK public for the possibility of a no-deal outcome.
The technical notices are aimed at UK citizens, businesses and other public bodies.
The government is expected to publish the notices before the end of September.
The 84 notices will comprise of the potential consequences of leaving the EU without a deal. Issues such as financial services, company law, climate change and travel are expected to be covered.
Most of the notices will be formulated by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy as well as the Department for Transport.
However, before the notices are published, the recently appointed Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab, is expected to hold talks in Brussels with the Eu’s Chief Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier.
The European Union has drafted their own notices already.
In reference to the summit which is to take place on Tuesday, Downing Street said, “On the agenda will be resolving the few remaining withdrawal issues related to the UK leaving the EU and pressing ahead with discussions on the future relationship.”
Raab also plans to give a speech at the summit which will detail the risks that may follow the UK’s leaving the EU without a set deal.
A Downing Street spokesperson stated:
“This is part of our preparatory work that has been underway for the past two years. These will be published in August and September and will be available on gov.uk in a centralised location that is easy for people to access and use.”
