In a historic vote, China’s National People’s Congress has passed constitutional amendments including the removal of term limits on presidency. The successful vote to abolish the two-term limit was met with two votes against, three abstentions and 2,958 votes in support. The vote means that President Xi Jinping could rule indefinitely.
