Changes to terror strategy set to be announced

Home Secretary Sajid Javid is set to announce plans for greater sharing of information between the state and the public sector.

The security services in the UK currently hold information on around 20,000 people labelled as “subjects of concern.”

The plans come after concerns have been raised over a sharp reduction in the timeframe between the conception and execution of terror plots.

The speech on Monday will be Mr Javid’s first major speech since he replaced Amber Rudd as Home Secretary.
