Japan backs Theresa May’s deal
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has announced his support for Theresa May’s Brexit deal by stating that the world does not want a no deal outcome, this comes in the face of the Prime Minister likely being set to lose a vote on the withdrawal agreement in the next week
Two child universal credit cap eased
A cap on universal credit for families with three or more children is set to be lifted for some families after staunch opposition. Families with three or more children born before April 2017 will now no longer be included.
Trump digs in over shutdown
Donald Trump continues to battle with Democrats over funding for a ‘barrier’ on the US’ southern border. This has prevented the passing of a funding bill which has caused a partial government shutdown which now looks likely to become the longest in history.
