Thirty-nine people have been killed in Syria after a blast brought down a building in the rebel held province of Idlib. It is believed that twelve children are amongst the dead in the building that was reportedly used to house munitions. Rescuers have been attempt to save more people who could still be trapped in the rubble.
Yesterday’s shooting in Moss Side, Greater Manchester has left one person with serious injuries and others with supposedly pellet type wounds. Two children are amongst the injured. The Caribbean Carnival currently being held in the area is not expected to be cancelled or postponed.
Immigration queues at Heathrow airport are reaching as long as two and a half hours during peak times. These waits are being described as unacceptable and come just days after record flight numbers into Heathrow were being recorded.

Scotland’s grouse shooting season has been hampered by extreme weather conditions. Snow in March and an exceptionally hot summer has impacted the successful breeding of the birds and as such many estates are being forced to close their shoots to allow numbers to increase. It is believed this could have a serious consequence on tourism.
