Home Secretary Sajid Javid has announced that cannabis oil, as a form of medication, will be legalised by specialist doctors in the UK. Javid has stated that this will be available for those with “exceptional medical need” and that other forms of cannabis will remain illegal. This move comes following the high-profile cases of Alfie Dingley and Billy Cladwell who were previously denied cannabis to treat their rare forms of epilepsy.
According to Greece’s Citizen Protection Minister Nikos Toskas, there are ‘serious indications’ that Greece’s recent wildfires were the result of arson. The fires, which have killed over 80 people have been worsened by recent weather conditions across Europe which have caused record-breaking temperatures across much of the continent.
