People aged 56 or over in UK can now book Coronavirus vaccination

People in the UK aged 56 or over can now book their Coronavirus vaccination.

The UK’s vaccination programme is continuing at pace and people aged 56 or over can now book their vaccination via the NHS. Since last night, people in this age range have been able to book their vaccination on the NHS website.

The NHS has been working through the priority list set out by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI). In some parts of the country, people aged 56 and those even younger have been vaccinated already, as a result of speedy local rollouts.

So far, over 21,358,815 people have received their first dose of a Coronavirus vaccine in the UK, while over 1 million people have also received their second vaccine dose.
