Moscow has “stopped paying attention” to spy claims

In a news conference, Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow has ‘stopped paying attention’ to claims from the UK about the poising of the former Russian spy Sergei Skripal. 

The minister also said that the UK’s refusal to work with Russia is “violation of international agreements” On Thursday, Mr Lavrov said Defence Minister Gavin Williamson may ‘lack education’ after Williamson’s comment on Thursday that Russia should “go away and shut up”.

The Russian Mission to the UN has tweeted that accusations of Russia being involved in the poisoning are “outrageous, unproven and unfounded”.
