Theresa May has arrived in the city of Salzburg in Austria for talks with EU27 leaders this evening over a working dinner.
Mrs May is due to urge those at the dinner to break the current Brexit deadlock and move much closer towards her Chequers compromise. The prime minister said earlier this week that there would only be a Chequers deal or a no deal negotiated with the EU.
The working dinner is set to take place in the Felsenreitschule theater, made famous by the ‘Sound of Music’.
Further talks will take place over lunch tomorrow in Theresa May’s absence, with Michel Barnier due to lead discussions.
