Sir Keir Starmer self-isolating after staff member tests positive for COVID-19

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has entered self-isolation after a member of his staff team tested positive for COVID-19.

Sir Keir is said to be well and not showing symptoms of the virus. It is understood he will work from home until the end of his isolation period on 16 December.

Starmer had to self-isolate in September after a member of his household showed possible symptoms of COVID-19, however, this person later tested negative, meaning Starmer could return to Parliament.

Sir Keir's isolation comes just a week after Prime Minister Boris Johnson finished a period of self-isolation following a meeting with an MP who had tested positive for the virus.
