Partygate: Sue Gray's report has been handed to No. 10

The results of Sue Gray's enquiry have been given to the prime minister, and will be made public in the next few hours.

The report is expected to detail the sequence of events surrounding and including the alleged parties and relate them to the covid rules at the time. However, the report will not be able to determine whether rule breaches actually occurred - for that a court is required.

Last week the metropolitan police requested that Sue Gray include only minimal reference to events they are investigating, in order to avoid biasing their own report. Sue Gray's report is expected to have been heavily-redacted as a result. Some expect Gray to release the full findings of the report after the Met have finished their investigation.

Johnson has said that he sticks "absolutely to what he has said in the past" regarding the alleged parties. His past statements on the alleged parties include "I didn't know it was a party" and "no one told me it was against the rules".

The Prime Minister will give a statement on the report in the house of commons at 3:30pm today.
