Jamaica, Switzerland and the Czech Republic to be removed from UK travel corridors list

Jamaica, Switzerland and the Czech Republic to be removed from UK travel corridors list

Jamaica, Switzerland and the Czech Republic are being removed from the UK's travel corridors list from Saturday.

Arrivals to the UK from the countries from 4am on Saturday 29 August will need to self-isolate for 14 days, as part of the UK's quarantine restrictions.

The announcement on Thursday came following a significant change in the level of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country.

Employers are being urged by the government to be understanding of those returning from the countries that will need to self-isolate. The change to restrictions is expected to cause significant disruption to the travel plans of many Britons.

During the summer, the government has changed the travel corridors list multiple times, removing Spain, Luxembourg and others countries, meaning arrivals from these countries to the UK need to self-isolate.
