Bank of England reduces interest rates to 0.1%

The Bank of England has made another emergency move in response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak by reducing interest rates to 0.1%.

Interest rates had been at 0.25% since 11 March, in what was the lowest level in history until now.

The move by the bank is designed to help the economy, which is under much pressure amid the Coronavirus pandemic
