EU set to scrap biannual clock changes

The European Union is to recommend that member states abolish biannual clock changes, Jean-Claude Juncker has pledged.

An online consultation by the European Commission found that 84% of citizens surveyed were in favour of the move.

Mediterranean countries including Greece and Malta are most against abolishing clock changes.

Daylight saving in the UK has happened twice a year since 1916. It remains unknown quite how the change in EU policy may affect the UK and Brexit negotiations.

How would you feel about clock changes being stopped? Comment your thoughts.
