A close friend of John McCain has announced that Donald Trump will not attend the late senator’s funeral. The president, who had an open feud with the McCain expressed condolences upon McCain’s passing, but refrained from acknowledging the achievements of McCain’s life.

The United States and Mexico have reached an agreement for the renegotiation of NAFTA. Canada are yet to agree to the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement and negotiations are expected imminently. Trump has hailed the agreement as ‘incredible’.

Notting Hill carnival has cracked down on knife crime this year, with metal detectors being placed throughout the event at strategic points. The police announced that more than 125 arrests were made by 6 pm yesterday and that 49 knives were seized at the carnival. The previous day saw 133 arrests and 16 knife seizures.
