Briefing Monday 27th August

Sir Vince Cable is expected to make a big announcement on September 7th, just weeks before the autumn conference season. An Archbishop has claimed that Pope Francis knew about abuse incidents within the Catholic church for years. Carlo Maria Vigano alleged that Pope Francis conspired to cover up the abuse for years. These latest accusations come as Pope Francis ends his controversial visit to Ireland.
