The woman who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault has come forward. Christine Blasey Ford accused Kavanaugh of attempting to force himself on her back in high school. She originally anonymously fed the story to Senator Diane Feinstein but came forward due to her dissatisfaction with the ‘bare bones’ story that has been in the media at current.

Turkey has sentenced a British born (People’s Protection Unit) YPG soldier to 7 and a half years in prison for allegedly fighting with the Kurdish forces in Syria. Joe Robinson was arrested while on holiday in Turkey in July 2017 following photos posted online which showed him in camo posing with YPG fighters.

The death toll from Typhoon Mangkhut has risen to 59. The storm has made landfall in China, with most of the dead being killed by landslides due to the heavy rain. Meanwhile, Hurricane Florence has reportedly killed 15 in America’s east coast. Both storms are continuing on their paths although wind speeds are starting to decline.
