Bavarian elections have resulted in a mixed bag for Angela Merkel. The German Chancellor’s CSU party gained a plurality of the vote, however, suffered their worst result since the 1950s. This is a historic loss of support for the Chancellor who has been suffering a downturn in popularity for several years.

Hungary’s anti-tramp law has come into effect today, with a constitutional amendment making it illegal to live on the streets. Police will be empowered to issue warnings to anyone seen living or sleeping in public spaces, with jail time or public works sentences for repeat offences.

Donald Trump has appeared on an episode of 60 minutes, giving a heated insight into his administration. Lesley Stahl pressed Trump on recent issues, such as Jamal Khashoggi’s disappearance and the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh. Trump criticised the media incessantly and claimed he treated Dr Blasie Ford with respect during his infamous speech in Mississippi.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have arrived in Uganda. They have arrived to shoot for Kanye’s latest album. Uganda’s president had recently claimed that the country are not doing enough to get their name out there. Kanye said he ‘felt this energy’ and had to go to ‘what is known as Africa’.
