US Cardinal Theodore McCarrick resigns after sexual abuse allegations have emerged. In what is the first resignation from the cardinal since 1927 comes after McCarrick was accused of sexually assaulting a teenager almost 50 years ago. McCarrick claims ‘no recollection’ of the alleged abuses however, more allegations have recently emerged.

Five people have been killed and nine remain missing as wildfires in northern California have destroyed more than 194 sq km of land. Two children and their grandmother are amongst those killed since the wildfire began on Monday. The fires have caused around 37,000 people to flee their homes and is only around 5% contained.

Damian Collins has alleged that Arron Banks donated £8.4 million to the leave campaign in what would be the largest political donation in UK history. According to Collins, it is unclear as to where he ‘obtained that amount of money’ and has failed to guarantee that the money had come from UK sources.

A homeless man in Silicon Valley has been handing out resumes instead of asking for money. According to sources, a number of high profile tech companies have already reached out to the man who lists extensive web development experience on his CV.
