A gunman has killed 11 and wounded 6 others at a Synagogue in Pittsburgh. A gunman walked into the Shabbat service at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, with the police suggesting it is a likely hate crime. The gunman surrendered to police after a shootout; he has a history of anti-Semitic abuse online.

13,000 people have marched for gay rights in Taiwan. Protesters marched in favour of gay marriage and an extension of rights in the island nation. Gay marriage was legalised by the courts back in May, however, legislation has yet to be passed on the issue.

The Leicester City owner’s helicopter crashed outside the club’s King Power Stadium shortly after the end of Leicester’s match against West Ham United. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha’s helicopter reportedly lost control and crashed outside the stadium, it is currently unclear as to who exactly was on board and as to the cause of the incident.

Fans of the Simpsons have mixed feelings after reports that character Apu could be removed from the show. Producers have received criticism for the stereotype that the character portrays, however, many suggest that removing him from the show defeats the point and would instead prefer for him to remain but adhere less to stereotypes.
