A number of high profile businesses have pulled out of a major Saudi Arabian conference following the disappearance and likely murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The Future Investment Initiative conference, due to take place later this month, is set to be boycotted by Uber, Viacom and many media outlets such as the New York Times and CNN.

Fracking has begun in the UK for the first time in seven years. Despite fears of risk, a court battle was lost by anti-fracking campaigners which will allow the controversial gas extraction process to recommence. Justice Supperstone said there was ‘no evidence’ to support the claim about the damaging process.

South Korean President Moon Jae-In has stated that the end of the Korean War is near. Moon has stated he wants the end at the ‘earliest date possible’, also believing Washington is keen for the move. Although the fighting stopped in 1953 no official armistice was agreed between the north and south, with the wish to do this now signalling an upturn in relations.

Princess Eugenie has married Jack Brooksbank in the years second Royal Wedding. Although not quite the spectacle of Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle. Princess Eugenie, 9th in line to the throne, saw a host of celebrity guests in attendance, along with the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and other members of the royal family.
