Mr Hammond claimed that if Mrs May’s Chequer’s plan would go through, it would enable the UK to enjoy the same economic growth as if it remain as an EU member state by allowing “businesses to continue accessing the European market”.
An explosion at a military factory in Salisbury has left one dead and another seriously injured. Emergency services were called to the facility near Porton Down just after 5 pm last night. A spokesman said the incident has been contained and that there is no risk to surrounding residents. The victim’s next of kin have been informed.
